Special Holy Qurbana Service for the Elderly, Sick and Infirm – 18 June 2020

The gathering of members this past Saturday, 18th June 2022 for Holy Qurbana and fellowship afterwards was truly a blessed one. Organised especially for the elderly, sick and the infirm of our community, it allowed for much beloved church members who have not been able to participate in the longer Sunday services to be present and receive Holy Qurbana. It was especially heartening to see our church members who were wheelchair bound or needing assistance to walk present – and equally wonderful to see all the younger church members who were present there to accompany their parents or just to be able to meet and interact with much loved Uncles and Aunties.

A simple breakfast of idlies, vadais, chutneys and sambar was served with hot coffee and tea. This gave us the opportunity to catch up with others, share a meal together and renew our togetherness and bonds of love and care as a community.

A special thanks to Uncle Sam for encouraging us to keep this community tradition going. We are so grateful for everyone who was present there, and look forward to more people attending the next special Qurbana we hold.
